Maintenance And Troubleshooting

Maintenance

  • Regular Inspection – Check pumps, conveyors, and separators for wear, leaks, or unusual vibration.
  • Lubrication – Ensure bearings, shafts, and moving parts are properly lubricated to reduce friction and extend life.
  • Cleaning – Remove deposits, sludge, or blockages from screw pumps, press units, and agitators to maintain efficiency.
  • Alignment & Balancing – Verify shaft alignment and impeller balance to avoid excessive load on motors.
  • Preventive Schedule – Follow a routine maintenance calendar to minimize downtime and unexpected failures.

Troubleshooting

Low Flow / Pressure Drop

  • Check for blockages in suction or discharge lines.
  • Inspect seals and gaskets for leakage.

Excessive Noise or Vibration

  • Verify shaft alignment and bearing condition.
  • Ensure proper installation of agitators and conveyors.

Motor Overheating

  • Confirm electrical connections and load capacity.
  • Clean cooling vents and check lubrication.

Poor Separation Efficiency (Screw Press)

  • Adjust feed rate and check screen condition.
  • Inspect screw wear and replace if necessary.

Mixing Inefficiency (Agitator / Axial Flow Pump)

  • Ensure impeller blades are intact and free of deposits.
  • Check rotation speed and motor performance.
