Screw Pump/ PCP Pump

A Screw Pump is a positive displacement pump that uses one or more intermeshing screws to move fluids along the axis of the screw. It is designed to handle a wide range of viscosities, pressures, and flow rates, making it highly versatile for industrial applications. Screw pumps are known for their smooth, pulsation-free flow and ability to handle both lubricating and non-lubricating fluids.

Working Principle

  • Fluid Entry: Liquid enters the pump casing through the suction port.
  • Axial Transport: Rotating screws trap the fluid in cavities and move it steadily along the pump axis.
  • Discharge: Fluid is expelled at the outlet under pressure, maintaining a continuous flow.
  • Configurations: Available in single, twin, or triple screw designs depending on application requirements.
